Former Manchester City Assistant Coach Joins Foxes

Maresca Signs Contract Until 2026

Enzo Maresca has been appointed as the new manager of Leicester City, signing a contract until 2026. The Italian coach, who was previously an assistant at Manchester City, will take charge of pre-season preparations at Seagrave on Monday.

Maresca, 44, made a significant impact during his first spell with Manchester City, helping the club to win the Premier League title in 2018/19. He left the Etihad Stadium in 2020 to join Parma as head coach, but was sacked after just four months in charge.

Leicester City are hoping that Maresca can help them bounce back from a disappointing season, which saw them finish eighth in the Premier League. The Foxes have also made an official approach to Chelsea over Enzo Maresca, and hope to strike a deal for him to be their next head coach by the end of the week.

Maresca is excited about the challenge of managing Leicester City, saying: "I am delighted to be joining Leicester City. This is a great club with a rich history and a passionate fan base. I am excited to work with the players and staff to help the club achieve its goals."
